About the Artist
Bethany Shepherd was born and raised near Asheville, North Carolina. Her family later moved to South Dakota for ministry work. As a teenager, after finishing a beaded snowflake ornament project, she utilized left over wire and beads to create a few jewelry pieces. The process piqued her creative side, and there began her obsession with making jewelry. Shepherd’s sharpened sense of form and deliberate use of color to convey moods was further developed during her time at college. Beth’s favorite materials to use include pearls and warm tones of metal and stone.
Shepherd now lives in Watertown, South Dakota where she creates her jewelry art.
