Throughout her childhood in Iowa, Pat Hager always expressed an interest in art and creativity. During high school her interest and artistic development significantly increased under the guidance of her art teacher. This mentor encouraged her to continue to pursue her art.
After graduation Pat moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and later started her own construction business. She was able to utilize her artistic skills as she drew blueprints and designed homes for the company. After thirty years in the home building industry, she traded the confinement of blueprint drafting and home design for the freedom of a paintbrush.
Since rediscovering her passion for fine art, Pat has been experimenting with both watercolor and acrylic paints. Traveling, architecture and nature provide the most inspiration for Pat as she creates her artwork.
