Kristi Pederson creates art from her travels and experiences in life. Taking the beauty found in life and nature, she interprets it in her own unique way. Clean lines, geometric shapes and textural elements are all strong characteristics of Kristi’s work. Along with her strong use of symmetry, these elements could also be used to describe the Art Deco movement of the early twentieth century.
Specializing in fused glass, Kristi’s designs are inspired from everyday things. From functional pieces such as sushi sets, coasters and platters to non-functional sculptural designs, anything can be translated into a glass work of art.
Kristi’s original designs have been sold nationally. A member of the Nebraska Arts Council, Kristi has shown her works at many galleries in the Omaha area and is now expanding. She was recently featured on HGTV’s “That’s Clever!” to create a one-of-a-kind glass fusion clock. Kristi was also nominated for and Omaha Entertainment Award for her work in glass.
